Great Bend Fire/ EMS

Emergency Medical Service made 11 ambulance runs on Friday, Jan. 12, 10 on Saturday and three on Sunday. There were no fires, but firefighters did a carbon monoxide check on Saturday. An alarm reported at 2:49 p.m. Sunday at Red Barn, 30 SE 10 Road, was canceled en route.

There was a non-injury crash at 7:43 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, in the 5200 block of 24th St. 

A non-injury crash was reported at 3:33 p.m. at 22nd and Jefferson St. 

A non-injury crash at was reported 3:52 p.m. at 2333 Polk St.

A theft was reported at 8:23 p.m. at Walmart, 3503 10th St. 

A possible burglary in progress or prowler was reported at 11:05 p.m. Friday at 3124 28th St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 1:23 a.m. on Saturday at 2537 Quivira Ave. 

A domestic battery was reported at 4:06 a.m. at 5804 Aspen Dr. 

A battery was reported at 6:39 p.m. at 2532 Cheyenne Dr. A warrant arrest was made. 

A burglary not in progress was reported at 9:09 p.m. Saturday at 2508 Zarah Dr. A battery and criminal trespass case was taken. 

A domestic battery was reported at 10:52 p.m. at 2202 25th St. The suspect left prior to officers’ arrival.

A disturbance was reported at 12:11 p.m. on Sunday at Tractor Supply,3709 8th St., where an individual was attempting to open packages in the store. He was contacted by police and ordered to leave the store. 

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:36 p.m. at 2325 Mccormick St. but both vehicle left prior to officer arrival. 

A fight was reported at 9:46 p.m. Sunday at Sarge’s Saloon, 2801 Main. Barton County Sheriff’s Office also responded.


Barton County Sheriff

A report of narcotics violation at 5:50 a.m. on Friday at the Barton County Detention Center, 1408 Kansas Ave., Great Bend.

A domestic incident was reported at 7:41 a.m. at 5006 3rd Ave, Albert. 

A report of fraud came in at 12:46 p.m. at 841 NW 80 Road, Olmitz.

An injury crash was reported at 5:10 p.m. Friday at West U.S. 56 and SW 100 Ave., Pawnee Rock.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:31 p.m. at the same location.

Theft was reported at 6:28 p.m. at 573 NE 30 Road, Great Bend. The property was recovered at 5:27 p.m. on Saturday.

A non-injury crash was reported at 11:18 a.m. on Saturday at NE 50 Ave. and NE 90 Road, Claflin. 

A domestic incident was reported at 4:25 a.m. on Sunday at 612 Windmill Lane, Great Bend. 

A traffic stop was conducted at 4:16 p.m. at 8th and Frey. A K-9 unit was needed at 4:22 p.m. 

A fight was reported at 9:46 p.m. at 2801 Main St. 

Assistance with a missing persons was needed at 11:21 p.m. at 1208 Jefferson St.
