Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service responded to six ambulance calls Friday, three Saturday and four Sunday.

On Friday and Saturday they were on standby at the drag races. Firefighters made two carbon monoxide checks on Sunday.


Great Bend Police

An individual reported being battered by a known person at 12:02 a.m. Friday, May 31, at 2019 Holland St. An attempt to locate bulletin was issued.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 3222 18th St.

An injury crash was reported at 1:11 p.m. Friday at Zip Stop 5, 1001 Main.

A search warrant was executed at 5:56 p.m. at The Reserves at Trail Ridge, 811 Grant St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:20 p.m. at Love’s Country Store, 1221 10th St.

An injury crash was reported at 7:42 p.m. at Applebee’s, 3209 10th St.

Police checked a report of a fight in the parking lot of The Reserves at Trail Ridge at 9:48 p.m. but did not find anything. Barton County Sheriff’s Office also responded.

Criminal damage to the back door of the residence at 1201 4th St. was reported at 3:10 a.m. Saturday.

Theft of a Next-brand bike was reported at Cedar Park Place Apartments, 3910 Cedar Park Place.

At 10:14 a.m. Saturday, an individual reported being battered by a juvenile at Veterans Park.

A non-injury crash was reported at 12:20 a.m. Sunday at Lakin and Main.

A dog bite was reported at 3725 24th St.

An assault was reported at 7:35 p.m. at Arby’s, 3413 10th St.

An injury accident was reported at 7:49 p.m. at 10th and McKinley.

Property was recovered from the 200 block of NW 20 Ave., Great Bend.

Police investigated a report of shots fired at 8:08 p.m. Sunday in the 5200 block of 10th St.

A vehicle stolen from McDonald Tank as reported on May 26 was recovered.

Items were reportedly stolen from a vehicle at 1900 Hubbard St.


Barton County Sheriff

A possible burglary in progress was reported at 4:46 p.m. Friday at 565 W. 3rd St., Hoisington. Nothing was found.

A fraud case was reported at Claflin.

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:22 p.m. Friday at 198 N. U.S. 281, Great Bend.

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:35 p.m. Friday at West Barton County Road and NW 40, Great Bend.

A non-injury crash was reported at 10:06 p.m. at mile marker 208 on East U.S. 56.

A non-injury crash was reported at 12:26 a.m. Saturday at 24th and Morton, Great Bend.

A fire was reported at 2:24 p.m. Saturday at 1426 NE 40 Road, Ellinwood.

A burglary was reported Sunday at 552 SE 30 Road, Ellinwood.

Property was recovered Sunday evening at 272 NE 20 Ave., Great Bend.

A non-injury crash was reported at 10:45 p.m. on West U.S. 56 at mile marker 198.
