Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made one ambulance run Wednesday, 11 Thursday, seven Friday, five Saturday and three Sunday.
At 7:36 p.m. Saturday, there was a false alarm at Great Bend Regional Hospital, 514 Cleveland, where an alarm had been pulled by a child.
At 9:30 a.m. Sunday, an unauthorized burn was extinguished in the 1200 block of Holland St. An individual who was burning wood in an unapproved container was advised of the rules for burning inside the city.

Great Bend Police
Windows were spray painted sometime during the night of Tuesday, July 15, at 920 Williams.
A window was shot with a BB gun at 2124 Washington, it was reported Wednesday. Drugs were also found outside the building.
A vehicle driven by David Castanon-Calderon allegedly ran a stop sign on 9th St. at 1:13 p.m. Wednesday and struck a vehicle driven by Victor Reyes, who was northbound on Heizer St.
A vehicle driven by Evelen Bilinder backed into a car driven by Stacy Johnson at 2:13 p.m. on Forest Ave.
Theft of Kansas license tag 537-DLA was reported.
A vehicle driven by Cierra Dixon rear-ended a vehicle driven by James Murphy at 4:47 p.m. in the 1500 block of Washington.
On Wednesday night police checked on a man who was reportedly living in storage sheds at 9th and Washington. They contacted the man and learned he lives with a relative and was OK; he was just drunk.
Someone entered a vehicle at 2119 Polk St. and stole a DVD player, it was reported Thursday. Loss was $80.
A male was passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle in the Wendy’s drive-through at 2:16 p.m. Thursday. He was transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital.
A Great Bend woman reported receiving a phone call from “Publishers Clearinghouse” and being told she had won $850,000 and a Mercedes. She hung up after the caller asked for her location.
Items were stolen from a vehicle at 1219 Lincoln St. sometime Wednesday night.
An 18-year-old male allegedly swerved at someone with a vehicle in the 2300 block of 10th St. and threatened her, it was reported Friday. The suspect, Avery Lee, Larned, was later arrested and booked into the Barton County Jail on an aggravated assault charge, in lieu of $20,000 bond.
One person found a debit card, and another person found a purse, Friday night at the Dillon’s store at 1811 Main. Both were returned to the owner(s).
Police checked an area on Eighth Street after two subjects were seen wearing masks, around 10:20 p.m. Friday, but found nothing.
A vehicle driven by Kyle Stroud hit a post at 3:13 a.m. Saturday on White Sands Dr.
Theft of Kansas license plate 379-FYT from Marmie Motors, 1724 10th St., was reported Saturday.
An employee at Sunflower Bank, 3600 10th St., reported receiving a counterfeit $10 bill.
A vehicle hit a motorcycle at Walmart, 3503 10th St., Saturday morning and left the area.
Checks were reportedly stolen from somewhere in Ellinwood and used at Walmart.
A vehicle at Taylor Petroleum, 5200 10th St., had the window damaged.

Barton County Sheriff
A chain link fence was knocked down in the alley behind 5930 Anchor Way, Great Bend, it was reported Wednesday.
A burglary was reported Wednesday at 1155 NE 120 Ave. A TV was stolen from the house.
A Chevy Avalanche slid into the ditch on NW 110 Road at 4:53 a.m. Thursday. No injuries were reported.
A rollover accident was reported at 4:53 a.m. Thursday. The caller said it appeared that the vehicle slid into the ditch on NW 110 Ave. and West Barton County Road, but no one was inside. The driver’s mother contacted Barton County authorities at 6:55 a.m., saying she did not have any broken bones and did not need an ambulance, but was on her way to Great Bend Regional Hospital. The driver reportedly walked away from the accident scene to seek help at farm houses in the area, and was picked up by her mother.
Two vehicles collided at 2:20 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of North Washington Ave.
A woman reported being flashed around 1:15 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of East U.S. 56. A male in a semitrailer allegedly pulled up behind the reporting party, dropped his pants and exposed himself, then drove away.
A burglary was reported at 38 NW 100 Road. Radiators were missing from several vehicles on the property.
A vehicle hit a deer at 8:24 a.m. Saturday on NE 30 Road and NE 50 Ave.
