11-04-24 – Met with Hoisington Police regarding recent narcotics cases.
11-05-24 – Officer met with 911 Director regarding ENTERPOL Install and training, at City Building.
11-06-24 – Barton County Lt. assisted officer with continued ENTERPOL Training at City Building.
11-08-24 – Officer made citizen contact regarding firearms possession laws.
11-11-24 – Officer responded to K156 Hwy assist Barton County Deputy with a DUI arrest.
11-11-24 – Officer constructed and installed new evidence lockers in City Building.
11-13-24 – Officers responded to 200 block of C St. regarding a domestic disturbance. Persons contacted and case made.
11-15-24 – Officer contacted resident in 200 block of 7th St. regarding semi parked in street and provided copy of ordinance.
11-20-24 – Officer contacted by citizen regarding lost dog, dog was located.
11-21-24 – Officer met with community members at Community Center monthly coffee meeting for intro and questions.
11-22-24 – Officer contacted new owners of the Catholic School, who are restoring the building and talked to them about an inspection before most work is completed or done.
11-22-24 – Officer responded to citizen assist; keys locked in vehicle.
11-25-24 – Officer and city clerk developed a card to place on vehicles for the Thanksgiving Holiday S.T.E.P. Grant education and enforcement project and officer placed them on all vehicles at the high school for awareness and education.
11-26-24 – Officer worked on Bias Based Policing Policy and Body Worn Camera policy for review and hopes to begin practice January 2025.
11-28-24 – Officer responded to loud noise in alley, North of Front Street and West of Main, contacted persons having a gathering and gathering was dispersed.
11-29-24 – Officer contacted residents in 100 block of 8th Street regarding Couch in yard. They are working on getting removed and were provided the city ordinance.
11-30-24 – Officer escorted State Bound Central Plains Oilers Football team and bus from High School to Main and out of town as requested by Mrs. Murphy.
Throughout the month of November, and primarily the week of Thanksgiving, Officers stopped 15 vehicles from speeding to restraint violations as part of the STEP Grant project and this will continue throughout the holiday season. Due to this enforcement an increase in seatbelt use has been observed.
