Women for Kansas to host Senate candidate

Kansas Senate Candidate District 33 Matthew Westenfeld will be at the Front Door Community Center, 1615 10th St., at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18, to provide information about his candidacy and answer questions. He is a Democrat and will be running against Tory Blew, who won the Republican primary race against John Sturn.

The meeting is sponsored by Women for Kansas - Barton County. Members will also brainstorm ideas for voter registration and election activities. Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend.
