The sale of Great Bend USD 428’s old Maintenance Building at 2019 12th St. is on the agenda for the board meeting set for 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at the District Education Center, 1809 24th St.

With board approval, a public notice with bid details will be posted in the Great Bend Tribune. A reserve price has been set and the building is offered “as is.” Bids must be received by 1 p.m. on Nov. 6.

At the meeting, the board will learn about the district achieving a Bronze Graduation Recognition in the 2024 Kansas Can Star Recognition Program and here a report from Kisty Alvord, director of Food Service. 

Other items on the agenda are public notification of the Title VI B and VI B ECH budget, which covers salaries for licensed special education staff; and approval of the Local Consolidated Plan Allocation of state and federal funds.
