Engineman Senior Chief Petty Officer Shannon L. Thomas will retire from the U.S. Navy on June 23 at San Diego, Calif. Thomas is a 1996 graduate of Hoisington High School. His parents are Margaret A. Thomas and the late Larry Keith Thomas.
“I am wrapping up a 21-year career that has taken me all around the world,” Thomas said. He supported Operation Enduring Freedom and completed seven overseas deployments.
He is married to Josie Thomas and has three sons, Kyle, Kent and Keith Thomas. A much-needed family vacation with a trip to Kansas is planned following his retirement. After that, the family will continue to reside is San Diego, where Thomas plans to accept a government job.
