The Stafford County Board of County Commissioners met on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, in the Commission Room in the Annex. Commissioner Wycoff called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. Present: Todd Wycoff, Jim Stanford, and Bryce Garner.
Mist Rudy, Jabe Wendelburg, and Matt Hildebrand with EMS, met with the commissioners to discuss a repair issue with Medic 2. They also discussed an issue with the new ambulance build and items being omitted from the original contract. An agreeable resolution was decided upon which will be taken back to the company.
John Drew and Lyda Rutti with the Senior Center, met with the commissioners to discuss the funding that is allocated from the county. Since the Shepard Center has closed, the division of the funding has been revised between the individual senior centers in each community. Information on how the remaining funds from the Shepard Center were dispersed among the senior centers was also presented. Commissioner Garner moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded, to approve the revised allocation schedule for the Senior Centers. Motion carried 3-0.
Marshal Sanders, Rural Fire, advised the commissioners that he has a large tank not being used that he would like to take to auction to dispose of. He will also dispose of the leftover items from the spring sale to get everything cleaned up.
Commissioner Garner moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded, to approve the minutes from the non-meeting on Oct. 9th.
Vanessa Cornwell, Treasurer, presented her 2024 third quarter investment report.
