Trinity UMC observes 50th anniversaryTrinity United Methodist Church of Great Bend will celebrate its 50th anniversary at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday with friends, family, food and worship. There will be a special worship service including members, past members, past clergy and a choir, including current and past choir members.The church was established in 1968. The first service was held in the gymnasium of Lincoln Elementary School.April 27, 2018 -
Prayer in the squareSeveral local area churches are coming together for a community worship and prayer service in participation with National Day of Prayer at 6:30 p.m. May 3 at the band shell in Jack Kilby Square. In God We Trust at the CrestThe free program “In God We Trust” will be held at 7 p.m. at the Crest Theater next Friday and Saturday, April 27 and 28.On Friday there will also be a special presentation at 1 p.m., geared toward school children, fifth grade and up.All three presentations will be given by Stwephen Flick, Ph.D., head of the Christian Heritage fellowship, a national organization dedicated to reclaiming America’s Christian Heritage.Area churches have come together to sponsor this event.
