Relay for Life of Barton County events

The 2011 Relay for life of Barton County relay will open at 6 p.m. Friday, June 10,and wrap-up at 6 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at Jack Kilby Square in downtown Great Bend. Concert to benefit relay

 A Concert of Hope for Relay for Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 10, at Grace Community Church, 210 McKinley. The concert will feature performances by Bev Brainerd, Makayla and Paige Lofland, Tyler Ball, Shelly Ramsey, Devan Donovan, Karla Essmiller, Brenda Friess, Dave Hickel, Ian and Maxwell McGilber and Allison and Marlene Regehr. Adoration, featuring Lonna Henderson, Becky Boese, Erika Brining and Keela Jackson, and the Faith Community Church Praise Team will also perform. Admission to the concert is free, and there will be a free-will offering taken to benefit the Relay for Life of Barton County. The Concert of Hope is sponsored by the Legacy Team.

Relay volleyball tourney planned 

The Farmers Bank and Trust Relay for Life team is holding a volleyball tournament fundraiser Saturday, April 30, at the Panther Activity Center. First game will begin at 9 a.m. and the last game will begin at 4 p.m. There is a limit of 12 teams and each will be guaranteed two games.
