Great Bend residents reported seeing pop singer-songwriter Michael Posner in town late Tuesday morning. Fans have been watching the artist’s posts on Twitter as he walks across the United States.

Earlier this year, Posner released his third studio album, “A Real Good Kid,” announcing he would walk from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean (from New Jersey to California) to celebrate the release.

In 2016, Posner’s song “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” became his biggest hit to date and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Song of the Year. He is also a poet and record producer and has written for other artists. He co-wrote “Boyfriend” with Justin Bieber and toured with Bieber in 2013.

Within minutes of the Great Bend Tribune posting this information on social media, several readers posted photos they had taken with the singer. “Such a cool guy!” wrote Veronica Allen, Great Bend, who said she saw him come into FedEx Freight.

“My baby girl and I got to meet him!! So neat!! God bless him!” wrote Emily DeLaurentis, who posted a photo of herself and her baby in a srtoller, along with Posner, shown flashing a peace sign.
