LARNED — Ann Hicks welcomed visitor Becky Thompson to the May 3 meeting of the guild. 
Thank you notes were read from prayer quilt recipients Ruth Steffen, Arlyne Basom, Lovella Smith, Donna Stejskal and Mary Perez. 
Virginia Bauer has been notified that the six prayer quilts for the families in Satanta that were recently burned out have been received and are in the process of being distributed. 
Sandy Dunavan won the rose fat quarter drawing.  Discussion was held concerning the upcoming Quilter’s Celebration on June 4, which is free and open to the public.  The 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. day will have workshops in the morning, a potluck at noon, and an old fashioned quilting bee in the afternoon. A popular feature will be a corner of free materials as well as items for purchase. The next regular meeting is scheduled May 17 in the fellowship hall of the First Presbyterian Church.
Show and Tell participants were: Melvina Prescott, butterfly quilt, Alice Clapsaddle, a quilted bright bed runner; Carol Tims, two blocks from the current sampler quilt pattern and a New Orleans’s Saints quilt for her husband, Susan Gray, quilted rope bowl; Opal Macy, two pieced quilt tops of variations of Drunkard Path and Jack in Box; Myrna Cannon, kit of Wizard of Oz “Ruby Slippers”.
