A pavement marking project on K-4 in Barton County is set to start around March 24, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.
The project stretches from 0.57 mile east of the US-281/K-4 junction east to the Rice/Barton County line. Project work will start on the east end and work back to the west.
KDOT expects work to finish by mid-April, weather permitting.
Flaggers and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work zone, with intermittent delays of no longer than 15 minutes.
Cillisen and Sons, Inc., of Kechi, is the primary contractor on the $207,000 project.
KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones.
