Officers from the Barton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a silent alarm Monday on Susank, and arrested suspect Nicholas A. Nondorf of Wilson.
Dayton Security first notified authorities of an alarm at 2199 Susank Road at 8:42 a.m., with a second alarm going off after 9 a.m..
According to Sheriff Brian Bellendir, when officers arrived they found Nondorf in a pickup that had been reported stolen in Mitchell County.
“It appeared there had been attempted forced entry into the location in Susank,” Bellendir said. “Nondorf was arrested at the scene for burglary, possession of stolen property and criminal damage to property as well as criminal trespass. Mitchell County authorities were notified and further investigation is pending.” He was booked into the Barton County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.
“It is believed this incident may tie into other stolen vehicles in both Ottawa and Mitchell counties,” Bellendir said.
