The Barton County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the Barton County Health Department is sponsoring a drug take-back day on Saturday, April 27, until 2 p.m. The drop-off location is on the east side of the Barton County Courthouse near the intersection of Lakin Avenue and Kansas Street, across from the Health Department.

This is an opportunity for the general public and long-term care facilities to dispose of prescription medications that are no longer needed. Medication collected is then turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for destruction. There is no fee for this service.
