An armed robbery was reported at 2:39 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Kwik Shop, 3907 Broadway Ave. The Great Bend Police Department later released a surveillance photo of a male wearing a light gray hoodie, ball cap and face mask. It was reported that the subject was of “larger build.”

Police Chief Steve Haulmark said no arrest had been made as of Wednesday morning. He said police believe the suspect came to the Kwik Shop on foot and left the same way. He displayed a knife and demanded that the clerk open the cash drawer. Cash and items from the store were taken.

The photo released to the public was a screen shot of the surveillance video and Haulmark said the actual recording may supply a clearer image as the investigation continues.

The public is encouraged to contact the GBPD if anyone recognizes this individual, or has any information regarding this or any other investigation. Call the Great Bend Police Department at 620-793-4120 or Great Bend Crime Stoppers at 620-792-1300 or online at p3tips.com.
