Quilting Bees meet
LARNED — Quilting Bees president Diann Morell welcomed members of the guild to the Oct. 4 meeting.
Thank you notes were read from Linda Presley and Karen Froetschner.
The ongoing Christmas quilt top was given to Rita Schaller who will put a border around with corners to be half square triangles and will be due at the next regular meeting at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 in the fellowship hall of Larned’s First Presbyterian Church, 8th and Morris.
Susan Gray of Radium will present the program on the disappearing nine patch. A donation was accepted from Linda Presley for the prayer quilt ministry. There are 5-6 prayer quilts finished in the last several days. Thank you to all who help with this ministry.
Members are reminded of the upcoming Diva Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at the church. The public is invited to the sale with a free entry into the show and sale. Refreshments will be served while patrons peruse the highly Christmas decorated room of handmade quilting and sewing projects for sale.
In addition to smaller items of table runners, wall hangings, pillows, stuffed items, quiet books, children’s and adult throws, cookbooks, quilts will be for sale. The public should use the northwest (back parking lot) door.
