Lead and copper mailings coming out soon
GBcitylogoUSE.jpg

The Environmental Protection Agency in conjunction with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment has required that a mailing be sent out to individuals that have marked lead, galvanized or unknown on the material surveys that were sent out earlier this year. This mailing is an informational brochure and cover letter that the Kansas Department of Health and Environment developed that is specific to the answers that were received on the survey.

If you DO NOT receive one do not worry as your response to the survey did not elicit a mailing. If you receive the mailing it is for your information on how to reduce or avoid lead exposure. This is in continued response to the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions. If there are any concerns or questions, contact the Utilities Department at 620-793-4150 or the Public Works Office 620-793-4150. Jason Cauley, Public Works director, may also be contacted by email at jcauley@greatbendks.net.
