Late night traffic stops lead to arrests

Traffic stops made late Friday and early Saturday by Great Bend police officers led at least four arrests.
At 11:29 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of Eighth St., Alejo Dominguez-Campos was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI), illegal transportation of an open container, obstruction, speeding and driving with a suspended license. He was booked into the Barton County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bond. He also had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.
At 11:50 p.m., Gustavo Varado-Franco was stopped on Ninth St. and found with suspected cocaine. He was booked on charges of driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, no proof of insurance, no driver’s license, refusal of a preliminary breath test and defective tag light. He was released after posting a $10,000 surety bond.
Officers used the K-9 on a traffic stop around 3 a.m. Saturday at 3503 10th St. and made two arrests for possession of marijuana.
