courtesy photo The theme for Summer Reading is “Adventures!” Gerry and Sandy decided that different types of caves will be their adventures, as shown in this display. They also have creative crawl-through caves in the basement of the Library. There are fun-filled books to go along with the caves.

We will have a busy week this week getting ready for First Friday on June 7, PBS coming for Preschoolers Monday morning June 10 at 9:30, K-2 grade coming Tuesday the 11th from 10:30-11:30 and 3-5th grades coming at 2- 3, and then Board Meeting Wednesday, June 12, at 6 p.m.

Sandy has done a fantastic job turning cardboard boxes into Nora’s Cavern. The kids need to have a pre-enrollment form signed by their parents and socks to go through the caves. As an activity on June 11th and July 15th, Christine Kirkpatrick is going to show the kids the creations they can make from plain old rocks. Christine is an artist with many talents, one of which is painting great art on rocks.
