The Kansas Department of Transportation announces approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects. The letting took place Oct. 16, in Topeka. Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.

Local bids are: Pawnee ‑ U.S. 183, from the U.S. 183/K‑56 junction north to the U.S. 183/K‑156 junction, milling and overlay, 12.3 miles, Venture Corporation, Great Bend, $2,269,583.80; Rush ‑  K‑96, from the Ness/Rush county line east to the U.S. 183/K‑96 junction, milling and overlay, 15.1 miles, Venture Corporation, Great Bend, $2,777,443.64.
