Information sessions planned for Chamber Blue program

A webinar and informational meetings are coming up so those interested in the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce’s health insurance partnership with Blue Cross and Blue Shield can learn more, chamber President Megan Barfield said.

First is a webinar at 2 p.m. Thursday.

“We’ve received word from our partners at Blue Cross Blue Shield that full eligibility, plan design, as well as the official Interest Survey, will be revealed during an upcoming state-wide webinar,” Barfield said. 

Join as Andrew Gutierrez, group sales consultant at Blue Cross, discusses information about this health plan, including eligibility, benefit, and enrollment information.

Those unable to attend, a recording of the webinar will be posted on the Chamber Blue of Kansas website following the event.

Additional opportunities to watch and/or attend Live information meetings will take place Tuesday, July 26.

Two of the three scheduled sessions will be held at the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce Board Room located at 1125 Williams St., in Great Bend with a Zoom option available. The first session will be Zoom only. All sessions will be recorded.

• Session one, 8 a.m., Zoom only: Zoom link is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3437480356. This link will be the same for each session.

• Session two, in person and Zoom: noon to 1 p.m. Bring your own lunch, drinks and dessert will be provided.

• Session three, in person and Zoom: 1:30-2:30 p.m.

“If you have any questions at all, please reach out directly to me at any time! We are excited to spread the word about this and invite you to share with anyone you may know with a need for group health insurance,” Barfield said. 

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Kansas and local chambers across the state have created an association health plan – Chamber Blue of Kansas. This AHP offers member businesses access to health insurance savings associated with large group medical coverage.

With groundwork going on at the future site of the Innovation Center on Farmer’s Plaza off of 10th St., Great Bend Economic Development Executive Director Sara Arnberger updated Great Bend Chamber members on several of the organization’s projects Thursday during a Chamber Coffee.
