The Barton County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation are investigating an infant death in Ellinwood, Sheriff Brian Bellendir said Tuesday afternoon. 

The BCSO was called in to assist by the Ellinwood Police Department Friday afternoon, Bellendir said. They, in turn, requested the KBI’s involvement. 

No arrests have been made and the matter remains under investigation, he said.
