The Hoisington High School Debate Team competed against 20 other teams at Newton’s Alma Momma Moore Debate Tournament. In the Novice division, Kennedy Dalton and Drake Martin won one of the four rounds of the day. Melody Braddy and Baylie Fyler brought home second place out of 22 teams in the JV division. In the Open division, with a record of 3-1, Brayden Stevenson and AJ Schartz took 4th place. Stevenson and Schartz’s winning records qualified them for the Kansas State High School Activities Association 2-Speaker Tournament hosted in January.
