The Great Bend City Council voted 6-0 Monday to approve improvements to Heizer Park. Great Bend Panthers and the traveling soccer team Great Bend United FC were there to watch.

Councilman Alan Moeder said he would only approve the addition of new restrooms at the site if security cameras are also installed. Assistant City Administrator Logan Burns said there would be enough money in the budget to do that.
