The Great Bend City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 20, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 1209 Williams St. The meeting is open to the public and will also be live-streamed on the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/gbcitycouncil/.

The council will consider a recommendation to vacate street right-of-way in a portion of Baker Avenue and a portion of 11th Street to provide adequate site area for the proposed Great Bend Police Station. Because the project did not fit within the legal boundaries of the existing site, this vacation of 43 feet of right-of-way will allow the existing site to be expanded to fit the site layout previously approved by the city council.

Other agenda items include annual business license renewals, recommendation to declare the house at 814 Monroe St. an unsafe and dangerous structure, abatements and reports.

Because the next regular council meeting date falls of July 4, Independence Day, it will be moved to Tuesday, July 5, at 6:30 p.m.
