Zachary Goodenough, a sophomore at Great Bend High School, is getting ready for the trip of a lifetime. He was nominated and selected to play with the Kansas Musicians Abroad organization. This is a group of Kansas students that will perform orchestra concerts in England, France, Switzerland, Germany and Austria. They will have a three-day rehearsal and concert in Wichita before they leave on the trip on June 15. They will be playing over a two-week period.
The son of Mark and Darcy Goodenough, Zachary was nominated by GBHS orchestra instructor Aubrey Maneth.
He plays the violin and has for the last five years. He said he is excited for the opportunity to play, make new friends, learn about and experience new countries. He is raising funds to help offset the cost of the trip and would appreciate the public’s support.
