A narcotics investigation began Friday evening as a Barton County Sheriff’s Office deputy, a Great Bend Police officer and a Kansas Highway Patrol officer responded to 200 Truman St. in Great Bend, west of the Great Bend Sports Complex.

A 911 call log shows that at 5:53 p.m. Friday, someone in a black four-door car was driving behind the sports complex and shooting a gun out of the window. There were at least two occupants, and the gun was being fired from the passenger window. It sounded like a .22 caliber or bigger.
The log for the Barton County Jail shows Joshua Williams, Great Bend, was booked on charges of  possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell 3 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal discharge of firearm. Bond was set at $50,000.
Emily Noblitt, Ellinwood, was booked on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property and criminal discharge of a firearm. She was released Friday after posting a $20,000 surety bond.
