Great Bend Police Chief Steven Haulmark reports officers found suspected methamphetamine when they were arresting a woman for an outstanding warrant for contempt of court last week. According to a news release issued Monday, at approximately 3:01 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, officers arrested Norma Ramirez, 40, in the area of 3rd and Plum St. for the Great Bend Municipal Court warrant. She was also allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia before being placed in a patrol unit and transported to the Barton County Jail.

Ramirez was booked in lieu of a cash-only bond on the municipal court warrant for $871.50, as well as a $10,000 cash or surety bond on the drug charges.
