The Barton County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the former JC Penney building, 1500 Kansas in Great Bend. The meeting will be open to the public but will also be streamed through Microsoft Teams. Citizens may view the meeting through their own sign-in or by signing in anonymously.

The agenda includes:

•  The recognition of retiring Register of Deeds Pam Wornkey.

• A resolution establishing weight limits on county bridges.

•  The Central Kansas Community Corrections Fiscal Year 2024 carry-over reimbursement plan budget.

Following the agenda meeting, the following appointments are scheduled:

•  9:45 a.m. – Golden Belt Veterans Memorial project update with Works Director Darren Williams, Administrative Assistant Diana Watson and Melanie Ryan. 

• 10:15 a.m. – budgetary submissions with Juvenile Services Director Marissa Woodmansee.

• 10:45 a.m. – regular business discussion with County Administrator Matt Patzner.
