Donations accepted

Lions Club members are also accepting donations of old eyeglasses, hearing aids, bicycles and bicycle parts. The eyeglasses and hearing aids are taken to a sorting facility in Texas and eventually sent to developing countries for distribution, the bicycles and parts are taken to the Ellsworth Correctional Facility for the Bicycle Recycle Program. People are asked to bring the bikes and parts with them on the night of the event and to inquire at the ticket table for help with unloading. The eyeglasses and hearing aids can be dropped off at the ticket table when entering the building.

Net proceeds from the Annual Seafood Buffet are used for Claflin area events and activities such as the Annual Claflin Easter Egg Hunt in the city park, Central Plains Scholarship Program, the purchase of eyeglasses for the needy, and many other local events.
