Claflin Lions Club announces seafood buffet

Claflin Lions Club will hold its Annual Seafood Buffet from 4:30-8 p.m. on Friday, March 17, at Immaculate Catholic Church Parish Center, 110 East Williamson St. in Claflin.  

Advance tickets are $10 for children 5-12 (kids 4 and under are free) and $25 for adults. The menu for the evening will includes fish, shrimp, scalloped potatoes, green beans, cabbage and bread, and coffee or tea.

There will be a raffle the night of the event.

Seven AmeriCorps volunteers from the National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) are working on projects at Heartland Farm this month.
Seven AmeriCorps volunteers from the National Civilian Community Corps are spending a month at Heartland Farm in rural Pawnee Rock, a nonprofit ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Peace. Their work has included moving some rain catchment barrels and creating a better platform system, helping to restore a grassland labyrinth, and doing some organic farming and gardening.
