Barton County Young Professionals (BCYP) announces their partnership with Engage Kansas in hosting a special event featuring Brenden Wirth, director of Political Affairs at Kansas Farm Bureau. The event aims to emphasize the importance and significance of active involvement in public service and encourage individuals to consider running for office.

Scheduled to take place at noon on June 21 at Gambino’s, 1309 Main, this event is set to inspire and inform participants about the power of community engagement and the positive impact it can have on shaping our neighborhoods. BCYP believes that by demystifying public service and making it more accessible, we can empower individuals to act and bring about meaningful change from the grassroots level.

Engage Kansas, an organization dedicated to promoting civic participation and facilitating connections between communities and public service, shares BCYP’s mission. Together, they strive to encourage people from diverse backgrounds to get involved in shaping their communities and contribute to the progress of society.

Brenden Wirth, as the director of Political Affairs at Kansas Farm Bureau, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the political landscape. He will be sharing valuable insights, practical advice, and thought-provoking discussions on the significance of being plugged in and running for office.

BCYP and Engage Kansas extend an invitation to all community members who are passionate about creating positive change. The event will be an excellent opportunity for attendees to connect directly with Brenden Wirth, learn from his expertise, and engage in meaningful discussions about the future of public service.

Participants will have the opportunity to purchase lunch from Gambino’s or to bring their own lunch. For more information and updates about the event, visit BCYP’s Facebook @Barton County Young Professionals-BCYP or visit the Chamber’s calendar page at greatbend.org.
