Young girls will receive royal treatment when they wear their favorite princess costumes to the Great Bend Recreation Commission’s Prince Tea Parties on Friday. Open to children 3-5 years old, tea parties are at 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th St.

Program Coordinator Garet Fitzpatrck said registration for both parties will be taken until Thursday, space permitting. The cost is $9 per child. Partial scholarships are available. Children come to the teas dressed up and enjoy some delicious treats, Fitzpatrick said. There will also be princess stories and crafts.
