Aggravated burglary reported

On Nov. 20 at approximately 4:29 p.m. officers with the Great Bend Police Department were dispatched to the 1400 block of Baker Ave. in reference to an aggravated burglary. Officers were advised that a female victim arrived home to find a male subject, later identified as Dustin Hawkins, white male, 43, inside of her residence. The female victim stated she did not know Hawkins, and that he did not have permission to be inside her residence. The victim stated she called 911 and Hawkins left the residence. Hawkins was located a short distance from the residence and was found to be in possession of items from the residence. Hawkins was taken into custody and booked at the Barton County Jail in lieu of bond. This case is still under investigation.
