Pride Ag Resources personnel were loading merchandise out of the Great Bend ACE Hardware Store, 4903 10th, Thursday morning as the store was being closed. According to a sign on the door, “Great Bend ACE Hardware will be closing effective June 1, 2017, due to economic conditions.” A company official at the site said the decision was made by the Pride Ag Resources Board based in Dodge City. 

Pride Ag also operates ACE stores in Dodge City, Lyons, Maize and Meade, all of which will remain open. The sign referred customers needing to return items to visit the Lyons location or to call Jack Lane at 620-338-7208.

A producer-owned cooperative, Pride Ag has 15 grain  elevator facilities, six agronomy centers and one car-care center in southwest Kansas.
