The City of Great Bend will be undertaking a manhole replacement project starting Thursday, Dec. 19. To ensure the safety of both the crew and the public, the intersection was completely closed from 8 a.m. onwards.

Residents and commuters are urged to avoid the area or find alternative routes. The intersection will remain closed during the day but will partially reopen in the evenings, allowing one lane of traffic to pass through. The project, including the curing of concrete, is expected to take approximately 10 working days.

“We appreciate your attention and patience as we work to improve our infrastructure. Thank you for your cooperation,” reads a statement from the City.
