Student Library Assistant Gracyn Dombroski will be focusing on different seniors throughout the year to spotlight, and this will be featured in our Check It Out column. Today we have two Senior Spotlights, Kiley Troyer and Lily Hoskins

Kiley is a senior at EHS. Her family members are Matt, Tammy, and Haley Troyer. Her favorite book is “God Will Use This for Good” because this book is about how we go through hardships for a reason and all things can be used for good. Her favorite quote is, “Peace begins with a smile,” by Mother Theresa. Kiley’s plan after graduation is to attend Kansas State University and study Music Education. After graduating college she hopes to settle down in a small town and start a family.

EHS is special to Kiley in many ways, but she mostly loves the tight-knit connection you form with your classmates and teachers. It is comforting knowing someone always has your back and will be there whenever you need them. Kiley has been involved in many clubs and activities while at EHS. These include StuCo, KAY, History Club, Scholars Bowl, SkillsUSA, Tennis, and Cheer. She loves being in leadership positions and guiding her peers in these activities. We wish Kiley a great year in her senior chapter!

Lily is a senior at EHS. Her family members consist of her late mother, Danielle Hoskins; dad, Mickey Hoskins; stepmother, Whitney Hoskins; sister, Grace Hoskins; and brothers, Shae Hoskins, Dallon Luker, Zarron Luker and Nixon Luker. Lily’s favorite book is the “Percy Jackson series” because those books made her middle school experience so much better. Her favorite quote is “Due today? Do today,” by “some college student.”

Lily is involved in KAY, STUCO, History club, scholars bowl, and “all the nerd stuff.” After high school, Lily plans to become an art teacher. Lily’s advice for incoming students is, “Good luck.” We wish Lily a great year in her senior chapter.
