Robert (Bob) and Carolyn Rowland will celebrate their 65th anniversary on Dec. 6. The couple will celebrate with a family gathering on Thanksgiving weekend. They will also celebrate Bob’s (Gramps) upcoming 99th birthday on Dec. 17. 

Caroly Stueve and Bob Rowland were united in marriage on Dec. 6, 1959 in Wisner, Neb. The couple have lived in Adrian, Mo., Butler, Mo. and Wichita but primarily in Great Bend, where they owned and operated Rowland’s Decorating Center for 49 years. The couple’s children are Carolyn (K. Neil) Rosenberg of Great Bend, Ryan Rowland (Carolyn Ruth) of Butler, Mo. and the late Royce Rowland. They have five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
