Preceptor Pi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met in January. It was announced that Connie Helm, who was a Beta Sigma Phi member some years ago, is interested in joining the Chapter.

As a Ways and Means project, “Reception Sisters” will assist with a wedding reception in February. The January social was a “Platter Party,” a pre-meeting pizza lunch catered by Linda Wood. Karen Reif introduced an ongoing craft project to benefit residents of local nursing homes.

Janis Link shared interesting information about the Mona Lisa that she learned when she and her granddaughter toured the Louvre in Paris last summer. She told of the long and colorful history of the painting by Leonardo DaVinci and the speculation of who the woman in the painting might be. Karen Reif gave the group a peek into her quilt closet, displaying some of the beautiful quilts she is working on for herself and her grandchildren.
