Tyanna Porter

Student Library Assistant Emma Clemons will be focusing on different seniors throughout the year to spotlight, and this will be featured in our Check It Out column. Today’s Senior Spotlight is Tyanna Porter.

Tyanna Porter is a senior at EHS. Her family members are her Grandma, Grandpa and her Uncle Taz. Her favorite book that she would recommend is “The Dork Diaries” because all of them are very good and each of them have different meanings to them because they express your inner dork side and your inner weird side and you can not let anyone take that away from you. Her favorite quote is, “Good Memories Can Do A Lot. Hold Onto Them. And Cherish The People Around You. You Never Know When They’ll Be Gone. In This World, The Worst Thing You Can Do Is... Make Someone Think They’re Not Wanted Or Loved.”-Kinger from The Amazing Digital Circus.

Tyanna’s favorite teacher is Mr. Winter because she thinks deep down he has a soft side and he is very nice and she thinks he’s very cool as a teacher and she loves his weights class because it’s always been a challenge everyday to get stronger and it can take your mind off things that are making you feel down.

Something that people would be surprised about Tyanna is that she has a deep care for animals. Hamsters are her favorite because each of them have different personalities and her new hamster Kinger has a lot of goofy traits to him on the inside. She thinks he’s a sweetheart because whenever she is feeling down, she will open his cage and he will go up to her and give her a whisker kiss on her nose and it just makes her smile knowing that her hamster cares about her no matter what.

Tyanna’s advice for incoming students is to take it one day at a time because you never know when this will be your last day to see the ones you care about. Enjoy it while you can, you never know when it’s gonna be the last time you get to see the faces you care about.. We wish Tyanna a great year in her senior chapter!
