BUNKER HILL — Another live production from Smoky Hills PBS, “The Kansas Legislature,” will kick off at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7. Viewers will also be able to stream it live on YouTube channel: http://bit.ly/StreamSmokyHillsPBS
The show airs during the legislative session, which gives the legislators and viewers the opportunity to discuss up-to-date issues. For each show, legislators from the Smoky Hills PBS viewing area are invited to participate in the live call-in program.
“‘The Kansas Legislature’ is another great live production that Smoky Hills PBS has been able to bring to the great people of Kansas for more than 36 years,” said Larry Calvery, general manager of Smoky Hills PBS. “We bring local state representatives and senators to our studio in Bunker Hill, where we give our viewers a chance to get their legislative questions answered.”
Jay Steinmetz, “The Kansas Legislature” moderator, and two to four legislators take part in each show. Steinmetz is an assistant professor of political science at Fort Hays State University.
