The 10th Street Eyecare Center recently concluded a month-long supply drive to benefit the Family Crisis Center, Inc. based in Great Bend and serving 12 counties across the central part of Kansas. The optometry practice invited its patients to bring in household items or gift cards for the victims served by the nonprofit agency in exchange for a steep discount on eyewear.
After several weeks of collecting donations, the staff from The 10th Street Eyecare Center proudly presented the Family Crisis Center with nearly $200 in gift cards and a heaping pile of hygiene items, laundry baskets, pillows, and other goods.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in our supply drive,” said Dr. Russell McCaulley. “Your generosity will undoubtedly make a positive impact on the lives of those in crisis in our area.”
Kylee Graves, executive director of the Family Crisis Center, expressed her thanks for the annual collaboration stating, “This partnership with The 10th Street Eyecare Center every November is greatly appreciated, and the donations will go a long way in providing crucial resources and support to those facing challenging circumstances.”
The 10th Street Eyecare Center offers everything from routine eye exams and diagnostic testing to retail glasses and contacts and frame repair.
