Marlene (Folkerts) Brack of Great Bend will celebrate her 80th birthday on Sept. 16 with a card shower. She celebrated last Sunday with a family gathering in Olathe.

Marlene was born on Sept. 16, 1938, in rural Timken. She retired from Brack and Henning Floorcovering in April 2010. She and her husband Mak have three children, Melinda (Steve) Hansen of Lindsborg, Michele Brack of Great Bend and Maura Milner of Olathe. The couple also have six grandchildren, Kirsten (Tegan) Nusser of Topeka, Christian (Sarah) Hansen of Manhattan, Ethan Milner of Olathe, Brielle Milner of Olathe, Kaylee Hansen of Lindsborg and Marlee Milner of Olathe.
