March was a busy month for the Preceptor Pi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. Two new members were added to the Chapter – Connie Helm and Karen Hays.

Election of officers was held.  Officers for the 2025-2026 sorority year are: President: Jeri Brozek, Vice President: Susan Brown, Treasurer: Rosie Luthi and Secretary: Brenda Black. The Social Committee planned a trip to Greensburg to tour the Big Well and Museum with some shopping along the way.

Rosie Luthi received her Golden Circle Award for 50 years of membership in Beta Sigma Phi.

Rosie Luthi talked about some of her many collections, emphasizing her large collection of Fenton Glass. The Fenton brothers began the company in 1907. She brought a book with beautiful pictures of the various pieces, pointing out some that she had in her collection.

Judy Krebaum introduced the creation of the character known to cooks all over the world. In 1921 the all-male advertising staff of Gold Medal Flour created the character of Betty Crocker to answer baking questions sent in by women. In time and played by various women, Betty Crocker had her own radio and then television cooking show. She got her own product line of cake mixes in 1947.
