‘Kansas Legislature’ kicks off Friday

BUNKER HILL – “The Kansas Legislature,” a local production of Smoky Hills PBS, will start its 2020 season at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7. Guests will be Senator Rick Billinger of the 40th District, and State Representatives Troy Waymaster of the 109th District, Barb Wasinger of the 111th District and Adam Smith of the 120th District.

“The Kansas Legislature” is a program that airs during the legislative session, which gives the legislators and viewers the opportunity to discuss up-to-date issues. During the program, viewers can call 800-337-4788 with their legislative questions. “The Kansas Legislature” is hosted by Jay Steinmetz, PhD, assistant professor of political science from the Department of Political Science at Fort Hays State University.   

The program airs live on Smoky Hills PBS at 7 p.m. on Fridays. Viewers can also stream each episode live on the Smoky Hills PBS YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/SmokyHillsPBS.
