Mahra Johnston

Student Library Assistant, Emma Clemons will be focusing on different seniors throughout the year to spotlight, and this will be featured in our Check It Out column. Today’s Senior Spotlight is Mahra Johnston.

Mahra is a senior at EHS. Her family members are Melody Johnston and Kelvin Johnston. Her favorite book is “The Summer I Turned Pretty” because she really enjoyed the book. Her favorite quote is, “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.” - Mark Twain. Mahra is involved in Tennis, National Honor Society, STUCO, Choir, and Yearbook. Mahra’s favorite class is being the Teacher Assistant for Ms. Hall at the grade school, because it gives her a chance to leave the high school and be around little kids. Mahra’s advice for incoming students is to enjoy your four years of high school, because it really does go by fast, and to live your life in high school. We wish Mahra a great year in her senior chapter!

Sheri Holmes is the director of library and media services for the Ellinwood School and Community Libraries. She can be reached by email at sholmes@usd355.org.
