Ned and Lynne Oak announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristi Oak to Sierra Thorne, daughter of Sue Funk and the late Harry Thorne III.
Kristi is a graduate of Macksville. She graduated from Hutchinson Community College with an associates degree in Fire Science. She is employed as a firefighter and bartender.
Sierra is a graduate of Larned High School. She is currently attending Barton Community College to obtain her Criminal Justice degree. She was a member of the United States Air Force from 2007 to 2013, serving in Iraq.
The wedding is planned for September.

Lichter.The bride-elect is a Group and Personal Fitness Instructor at Club 1 Fitness in Great Bend.The prospective groom is an independent distributor for Zija International, selling nutritional products.The wedding is planned for Sept. 15 at Prince of Peach Church in Great Bend.
