Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Jordan R. Batman

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Jordan R. Batman graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
He is the son of Eric and Kerri Batman of Great Bend. Batman graduated in 2009 from Great Bend High School, and received an associate degree in 2010 from Barton Community College.

HUDSON — Trinity Community Church, located at 207 E. Highland Ave. in Hudson, announced the following services for Holy Week.


April 13 - Palm Sunday

• 9:30 a.m. Praise Service

• 11 a.m. Traditional Service


April 17 - Maundy Thursday

• 6:30 p.m. Supper in the church basement


April 18 - Good Friday

• 7 p.m. Praise Service


April 20 - Easter Services

• 6:30 a.m. sunrise service, location TBD; breakfast to follow at the church

• 9:30 a.m. Praise Service

• 11 a.m. Traditional Service


‘Roundup’ service planned


HUDSON — Trinity Community Church, located at 207 E. Highland Ave. in Hudson, will host a Fifth Sunday “Round-up” on Sunday, March 30. An outdoor service will start at 10:30 a.m. Those planning to attend are asked to bring a lawn chair if they are able.

Grilled burgers and cowboy dogs will be provided for lunch; bring a side to share. There will be yard games, music and good fellowship. The service and lunch will move indoors if there is inclement weather.
