Alpha Kappa meets, plans coming year

Alpha Kappa met on Aug. 26. Alice Clapsaddle welcomed Beta Sigma Phi chapter members for a luncheon and short meeting on Beginning Day. A report was given by the executive committee on the budget. Yearbook pages were distributed and plans were made for the coming year including a vote on the budget and committee reports from the social and courtesy committees. 

A thank you note was received from the family of Bob Rein for the yellow rose given to former member Rosie Rein. Additional roses given during the summer were to Alice Clapsaddle and to the grave site of Marty Buster. A thank you was given to Marcia King for remembering so many with cards and flowers during the summer and to Merlene Baird for completing the yearbook pages.  

The next regular meeting will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9 the home of Marcia King.
